A game demo for survival horror and action-series game was released last week to coincide with E3 2016. The demo was intended to give fans to lay their hands on the sampler albeit in a limited time. But Bethesda is flexible enough to adjust and extended the demo for an unspecified period of time due to the game's high demand.

As revealed previously in Bethesda's E3 2016 press conference, the first level of Doom 2016 will be offered free of charge up until the conclusion of the gaming industry event, Video Gamer reported. The teaser demo would be available on all gaming platforms reminiscent of the shareware age in the 90's.

In a Twitter post, Bethesda recently said, "Due to popular demand, we're extending the #DOOM Demo!" Since the company hasn't advised fans as to when the demo will end, it would be smart if you download the game ASAP while it is still available. You will go through the first level's singleplayer. If the positive reviews are of any indication, then the first-level demo should be worth your time.

Meanwhile, Game Spot also reported that an upcoming DLC for the FPS 2016 remake will be rolled out in a couple of months. Called "Unto the Evil," the expansion was also revealed at Bethesda's conference at E3 2016 which will include a raft of new elements like armor, demon, taunts, and three multiplayer maps.

Other free updates to the game will also arrive soon. For example, multiplayer campaigns will have two new modes, namely, Exodus (a capture-the-flag mode) and Sector (a new multizone capture mode). Other new free-for-all modes also include the classic deathmatch. For a more enhanced "true single player" experience, Doom's SnapMap and level editor will add more modding functionality and a slew of other updates like new modules and props.
