Even though her fans have been wise to her engagement since at least November, the singer and "X-Factor" judge recently confirmed that her manager Tim Witherspoon indeed "put a ring on it" during an appearance on "The Queen Latifah Show" earlier this week.

"He asked me first on Skype," the 32-year-old former Destiny's Child star told Latifah. "And I was like, 'We're so far away from each other.' But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."

As for the upcoming nuptials, Rowland revealed to People magazine that the wedding will likely be a very small, private event. So small in fact, that she and Witherspoon may be the only in attendance.

"I think we just really want it to be us and our pastor. That's it," she said. "I mean, we are the only two that's going to be in the marriage."

Unlike her famous friend Beyoncé's wedding to Jay Z back in 2008, it likely won't be a lavish affair, though it will be just as special and private.

"You have to pay for food for everyone and I'm not down with that," Rowland said with a laugh of traditional wedding ceremonies. "Everyone is there just to be nosy and see who I'm wearing, you know. I'm okay."
