Miley Cyrus' little sister Noah Cyrus debuted a new, edgier look on her Twitter page. The 13-year-old actress tweeted a picture - and quickly deleted it - showing off jet black hair with a pink diamond shaved on the side.

Only a few short months ago, Cyrus was photographed with long, honey blonde curls. In November she changed her look and posted videos and photos on her Instagram page of her getting the side of her head shaved.

In the video she is seen sitting in a salon chair as the hair stylist chops away at her long locks. She shared a picture of the new look  - which is similar to stars like Cassie, Rihanna and most recently Jada Pinkett Smith - with her fans captioning the shot "Hehe," US Weekly reports.

Fans quickly started to criticize the younger Cyrus to which she replied with the message: "Everyone please stop hating on me. I'm my own person I can do whatever I want. Please stop being so mean. Do you think I enjoy reading comments tell[ing] me I'm ugly and I'm trying to be someone I'm not when I'm only being myself. I can't believe the words people are saying to me right now. Please I beg you just stop."

The "Wrecking Ball" singer cut off her long brunette hair into a short, blonde pixie back in August 2012. She explained in her MTV documentary in October that she wanted to switch up her look as a reminder to "let go of the past" and so she could "be the bad b*** I am."

She also talked about her short cut to the Toronto Sun over the summer.

"No one would have planned a haircut to change my life," she said. "I didn't plan a haircut to change my life. I just cut my hair and then it really changed my life. There's something about having no hair that it screams being confident. And I think especially because people like to put people in a box, I mean the names I've been called since I cut my hair."
