Square Enix's adventure cross-world role-playing game 'Kingdom Hearts 3' is one of the most anticipated games despite the scarcity of official details from the game publisher. For a while, fans expect that more information regarding the third iteration of the Kingdom Hears franchise may be revealed at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Unfortunately, a big KH3 reveal at this year's E3 is very much unlikely.

According to Breathecast, more details regarding the third installment is expected to be revealed in December despite earlier assumption that fans will hear more from the developer about KH3-related updates.

But as per Ecumenical News, Square Enix's E3 schedule does not include any 'Kingdom Hearts 3' presentation. The publisher's E3 scheduled presentations are as follows: June 14 (Deux Ex GO and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided), June 15 (Final Fantasy 12 game play walkthrough plus Q&A and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue discussion), and June 16 (World of Final Fantasy and 'Hitman' gameplay Live Stream).

While the absence of KH3 presentation may have left fans quite disappointed, the game publisher tries to soften the blow by releasing a gameplay trailer for 'Kingdom Hearts 2.8'. Interestingly, the preview ends with a 'Kingdom Hearts 3 logo with a caption that says "upcoming announcements this winter."

The clip also revealed how the game will be unveiled. The first part of the gameplay trailer featured Dream Drop Distance's theatrical look and lines. The second one showcased Aqua's new Fragmentary Passage mission. The third part of the preview highlights the changes made to Unchained X Back Cover's cinematography.

Meanwhile, Christian Times report suggests a number of new Disney World characters that may be included in the 'Kingdom Hearts 3' roster including Big Hero 6, Frozen, Hercules, Tangled, and Zootopia. Rumors also mentioned potential characters for the KH3 lineup from Marvel and Star Wars properties.

If rumors prove accurate, Square Enix's KH3 is expected to launch sometime after April next year.
