Marvel vs. DC is one of the longest running rivalries in America, right up there with the New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox and Republicans vs. Democrats. But with both Marvel and DC debuting massive superhero blockbusters this year, their rivalry has reached an all-time high. But that doesn't mean that fans can't enjoy both offerings, and the same applies to the actors that appear in them.

"Captain America: Civil War" star Sebastian Stan, who infamously fired a few jabs at Zack Snyder and the DC Extended Universe last year, recently admitted that he enjoyed "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

In a recent interview, Stan praised the visuals of the superhero showdown and especially enjoyed Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.

"I did see Batman v Superman, and I enjoyed it," Stan said. "I think visually it was insane. I thought Ben Affleck was an incredible Batman. I thought the fight sequence he had against all the guys, that was sick. Even Jesse Eisenberg was cracking me up at some points. That's all I got."

Stan went on to add that he believes Warner Bros. is at a point where they want to assemble the Justice League on screen, and the best way to lead into that was by pitting the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel against one another. While "Suicide Squad" and "Wonder Woman" will both hit theaters before "Justice League: Part I," "Batman v Superman" did serve as a direct lead in to the super hero team-up, even if it was at the expense of its own quality.

However, it's nice to see an actor in the thick of this rivalry disregarding fan opinions and complimenting the opposition. But at the end of the day, Stan is still a Marvel guy. He made his MCU debut in 2011's "Captain America: The First Avenger" and returned as the brainwashed assassin in 2014's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Stan also has a significant role in "Captain America: Civil War." We don't know when we'll see his character next, but we'd bet he'll pop up again before Phase Three is finished.

"Justice League: Part I" will hit theaters in November 2017.
