CES 2014 is almost upon us and it's never too early to start getting excited about the upcoming changes in the tech world that will inevitably result from the new gadgets that will be revealed at the show. Among the most anticipated segments of CES 2014 will be Samsung.

The South Korean Tech giant has a lot to live up to from its show at CES 2013, which featured Youm, the company's flexible display tech prototype, a slew of new TVs and former president Bill Clinton.

According to TechRadar, for 2014 many are thinking that the company will be showcasing its new Galaxy Round and will unveil the new flagship installment in its popular Galaxy lineup of phones - the Samsung Galaxy S5. Reports indicate that the Galaxy S4, which took the smartphone community by storm as the number one rival to Apple's iPhone, as well as being a well-made device in its own right, is experiencing slowing sales. It's possible that the company has decided to push the Galaxy S5 release date up with a possible unveiling at CES 2014.

The device is expected to support a 64-bit chip, new 16 megapixel camera and possibly a metal body. The device will likely launch to the average user with the same plastic back but a high-end model is rumored to be in the works featuring a metallic back.

TechRadar goes on to report that the Galaxy S5, while a big announcement, might not be taking the stage all by it self. Reports suggest the company is getting four or five new phones ready for 2014 and it would not be surprising for Samsung to take advantage of this stage time to unveil these new products.

As for the Galaxy Round, it's currently in its prototype phase but the technology is at a point where the company can at least showcase it and demonstrate the progress it has made in the form of flexible smartphone material.
