It's been six years since Hilary Duff released her last studio album, "Dignity," and now the singer and actress is working on her next project, having been teasing her fans on social media about her forthcoming album for months.

One of the songs on the album may be called "Breathing Room," a track that Duff tweeted she "almost finished today" on Dec. 15. The 26-year-old star has most recently been working with writer Mitchy Collins (Allstar Weekend) and producer Christian Medice, having been photographed in Times Square, NYC after leaving the studio on Sunday, keeping it casual chic in dark skinny jeans, high-heeled boots, a leather jacket and a gray scarf.

Today, Duff tweeted songwriter Billy Mann a photo of herself wearing a new t-shirt. Mann has helped produced hits for P!nk, Celine Dion, Martina McBride, Joss Stone, Robyn, Kelly Rowland, Ricky Martin, Sting, Hall & Oates and Cher Lloyd, among others, and is now helping Duff write music for her fifth studio album.

Back in September, Duff hinted at a new track called "Better Days," which Mann may have also helped write on. As for the new sound, the star has admitted that she's currently in love with EDM, which will likely influence her new music. Of course, she's also interested in catchy hooks and meaningful lyrics, as she tweeted during an exchange with Idolator back in August.
