Kelly Rowland is officially engaged to her longtime manager, Tim Witherspoon, the Destiny's Child star and "X-Factor" judge having "surprised" her fans with the news on "The Queen Latifah Show," E! News reports.

On the show, the 32-year-old star admitted, "He put a ring on it," holding up her gorgeous diamond engagement ring that she's been wearing around town for quite some time, causing many to speculate about the engagement long before she confirmed it.

"It's been a while," she said. "We've kept it very, very low-for years, to be completely honest."

In response, Queen Latifah said, "Because all my boys got crushes on you, so I'm like, 'She has a man, leave her alone, she's happy!"

Rowland has always been quiet when it comes to her personal life, never having spoken about dating Witherspoon, let alone planning to marry him. Witherspoon proposed to her on Skype while she was in Bulgaria.

"I was like, 'We're so far away from each other,'" she laughed, while Queen Latifah feigned a Slavic accent and said, "There's nothing like getting engaged in Bulgaria. It's the happiest thing that happened in Bulgaria that day."

"Exactly," said Rowland. "But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, 'I got my best friend to ride through life with.' He really is my best friend."
