Each year, the Raptr Awards track the play times on some of the most popular games of the year and ranks them, awarding the top played games the accolades they deserve.

This year's games have been released, tracking the play time of games, DLC, new IPs and more. The infographic, posted below, shows the full break down. The number one most played game of 2013 was none other than the record breaking "Grand Theft Auto V" from Rockstar Games.

The tally for "Grand Theft Auto V" and the other games on the list was based on its 30-day launch window on Xbox 360 followed closely by "Call of Duty: Ghosts" on the same platform.

Terraria took home the award for most-played DLC/Expansion with its 1.2 update and Path of Exile, from New Zealand developer Grinding Gear Games, won the award for the most played new IP.

IGN notes that Raptr is an opt-in service and only tracks Xbox 360 and PC users. PlayStation and next-gen consoles have not been factored into the rankings. These stats may be reliable among Raptr users, they don't necessarily represent the entire video games market in 2013.

"Grand Theft Auto V" has had a small rivalry going with Activision's "Call of Duty: Ghosts" ever since the title from Rockstar dethroned COD's sales records in the U.K. While losing to the game again in terms of the amount of time people have spent playing it, it's likely not a spot of good news or pride for the people at Infinity Ward and Activision. However, its worth noting that there were several weeks of separation between Grand Theft Auto's release and the new Call of Duty.

Take a look at the information on the infographic below and tell us what you think. Which of these games did you or your friends help contribute to? Ours is hands down "Grand Theft Auto V."
