It is no secret that the Sacramento Kings were a major disappointment this past season. The talent on their roster said that they should be a team that competes for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, but the results were not nearly that good, as they finished 33-49.

The Kings unsurprisingly fired head coach George Karl after the season was over, as he did not have a good relationship with basically anyone in the organization or his players. DeMarcus Cousins and Karl's relationship was the one that got the most publciity, and although their beef was somewhat quiet as the season ended, the relationship between the coach and star player was never great.

Cousins will now be entering his seventh season with the Kings, and he will be playing under his sixth different coach. It's about time the Kings hire a coach that will remain in place for quite some time, and they are expected to be thorough in their search. There are about 20 names that have been mentioned in connection with the Kings job opening, and GM Vlade Divac is the guy in charge of finding said coach.

Cousins isn't expected to have much of a role in the coaching search, and his presence isn't expected to sway the search in any major way. However, Cousins is still the star of the team, and with whoever the Kings hire, they need to make sure that Cousins will be happy with the decision. The 25-year-old center isn't all that concerned about the search, though, as he said that he and Divac are on the same page.

"We know what we've got to do moving forward, we know we've got a lot of building to do," Cousins said. "We don't have to talk about it, we're on the same page. It's about winning, period."

Sacramento has a lot of decisions to make regarding their roster this offseason, including whether they will re-sign Rajon Rondo, but the biggest thing is to hire the right coach that they see being there for a long time. Cousins said that the biggest thing he wants in a coach is accountability, and although he isn't supposed to be involved in the search, the Kings will surely keep that in mind.
