The Sacramento Kings have been very disappointing this season. The Kings came into this NBA season knowing they had a lot of talent and thinking that if they put it all together, they could be a playoff team in the Western Conference. That has not happened and now it will be back to the drawing board for them this offseason.

While the team's season hasn't gone very well, Rajon Rondo has something of a resurgence. This past offseason Rondo signed a one-year deal with the Kings after he received very little interest on the free agent market. Rondo will now re-enter free agency with another good year under his belt and he should have a few more suitors.

It is unclear what exactly Rondo will be looking for when it comes to a team he's willing to sign with but, he did make it clear that he wants his next team to be his last team. This shouldn't come as a surprise considering Rondo has played for three different teams over the past two seasons. He started with the Celtics last season before being traded to the Mavericks. After the failed experiment in Dallas, Rondo ended up with the Kings as a free agent.

Rondo's numbers this season are extremely good across the board as he is averaging 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game. The former Kentucky Wildcat is also shooting a career-high 35 percent from three this season on more than 150 attempts. Despite all of those gaudy numbers though, there are still plenty of concerns. Some people think he gets empty stats and doesn't really help the team much. There are also the attitude and locker room problems he has caused in the past.

It is unclear what kind of money Rondo will warrant on the free agent market, but there was talk earlier in the year that he could get a max contract. Those talks have died down a little bit, but it still remains a possibility. One team that will likely have interest in Rondo is New York, as the Knicks have a glaring need at the point guard position. Rondo has said in the past that he doesn't want to play in the triangle, but he has since amended that statement and said he could adapt to anything.

The Kings will also have interest in keeping Rondo considering their best player, DeMarcus Cousins, wants him to stay. The guess here is that Rondo goes wherever the money is, so if any team offers him a max deal he will likely choose them. Rondo is 30 years old now and sees the end of his career coming. He wants to play for just one more team and it's hard to blame him for that.

What team that will be is anyone's guess right now though.
