"Dancing with the Stars" may be most known for showstopping costumes and dance numbers, but the show is also known for the injuries the celebrities and pros sustain while competing on it.

Earlier today, "DWTS" contestant Jodie Sweetin was taking from her rehearsal space to a Los Angeles-area hospital due to an injury. The "Fuller House" star reportedly injured her ankle while rehearsing for next week's show with partner Keo Motsepe. It is currently unknown how serious the injury is and whether or not it will affect her performance on Monday's episode.

Sweetin's injury is hardly the first one of Season 22. Earlier this season, "America's Next Top Model" winner Nyle DiMarco received stitches for a cut he got on his eyebrow during a performance, and Mark Ballas injured his back while rehearsing with UFC fighter partner Paige VanZant. DiMarco was fine, but Ballas had to sit out a week from the show while he recovered.

Sweetin's TV sister, Candace Cameron Bure, also suffered an ankle injury, during Season 18 of "DWTS," but ended up being ok and went on to place third her season. "Great way to start off my day!! Don't worry, it looks worse than it is.... Unless it's not. X-ray tomorrow!" Cameron Bure captioned a photo of her swollen ankle at the time.

During the most recent episode of "DWTS," Sweetin had a stellar performance for Switch-Up Week, which forced contestants to perform with a dancer who was not their partner. Sweetin was paired up with pro Val Chmerkovskiy and performed a paso doble to "Under Control" by Calvin Harris and Alesso featuring Hurts. They received three nines and an eight, bringing their overall score to a 35. While she did have a successful performance with Chmerkovskiy, Sweetin said she was looking forward to returning to her usual partner, Motsepe, and was excited for next week's theme: Famous Dances Night.

"There are so many iconic dance moments that I would love the chance to pay homage to," Sweetin said Monday before finding out what her dance would be. "This show is just allowing me so many opportunities to live out big dreams."

"Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
