"Titanfall 2" is one of those instances in the gaming community where we already knew that it exists and will be revealed eventually, but the only thing missing from the equation is actual information from EA and developer Respawn Entertainment.

This used to be the case until now as a new teaser-trailer has emerged that finally gives fans a hint of what to expect when the game arrives.

EA and Respawn Entertainment's "Titanfall 2" trailer begins with a lone drop pod landing in a dense forest as what appears to be a hostile Titan approaches. The pod curiously has the name James MacAllen written on it, who, as you may remember, was the "main character" from the original "Titanfall" and is supposedly dead.

As this all unfolds, a soldier can be heard talking about how being a hero means being willing to die for what you believe in. In that case, the soldier says, perhaps don't try so hard to be one as you'll live longer.

The trailer concludes by showing the Titan unsheathing what looks like a massive sword, which is stabbed into the ground, before cutting to the words: "Worldwide Reveal June 12."

So what did we learn from the trailer? Not much, as expected. Beyond the title - slated to arrive on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 - the only things we can guess are what was portrayed in the trailer. Based on what was shown, we might be able to use new Titans, as the one shown in the trailer is different than the one used in the first installment of the franchise. Similarly, swords might make an appearance, and as we all know, everything is better with swords, right Sega?

The one question that remains on everyone's mind is whether "Titanfall 2" will have a proper single-player campaign. Rumors suggest that it will, which will be quite welcome, as the first had a "multiplayer story mode" that was quite bad. Other rumors indicate that the game will have greater weapon variety and that it will launch by the end of March 2017.

These questions and more are sure to be answered June 12 when EA kicks off its EA Play event. This isn't the only game EA fans have been looking forward to either. Both "Battlefield 5" and "Mass Effect Andromeda" are expected to make appearances during the event.
