Emilia Clarke has landed the role of Sarah Connor in the Terminator reboot, Deadline reports.

The "Game of Thrones" actress, along with "Zero Dark Thirty" actor Jason Clarke, joins director Alan Taylor in one of the most highly anticipated reboots of 2015.  Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be reprising his role in the upcoming film.

"This was a hotly contested role and it came down to Clarke and Brie Larson. Both actresses tested for the producers at David Ellison's Skydance and Megan Ellison's Annapurna, and Paramount, which will release the film in July 2015," according to Deadline.

The "Terminator" reboot is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.

Another film slated for a July 2015 release is Zack Snyder's "Batman vs. Superman".  The DC movie has been making headlines of its own lately.  The film is reportedly looking to cast its villain and the production team is looking at Jason Momoa, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"It's unclear whom Momoa will play due to the Kryptonite lock on the project's details. There's been speculation that the movie's villain could be Doomsday, a Kryptonian scientifically engineered into an intergalactic killing machine," THR reports.

"Doomsday famously "killed" Superman in the comics, which became a media event in 1992. The character's existence is even hinted in the extras of the Man of Steel Blu-ray," according to THR.

"Batman vs. Superman" team has not confirmed the Momoa casting rumor, but they recently established they have their new Wonder Woman.  "Fast & Furious" actress Gal Gadot has landed the superhero role.

"Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character," Snyder told Deadline.
