Paul Walker's family was invited to a private screening of "Hours", the last film he completed before his death.

According to E! News, a rep for the Eric Heisserer-directed movie confirmed the screening. However, Walker's daughter Meadow, 15, did not attend the event as she had already viewed "Hours" at the Southwest Film Festival this year.

"His family was very stoic," the rep told E! News. "But they enjoyed the film and had a really lovely evening."

Walker talked about taking his 15-year-old daughter to see the movie during the film festival and what a "cool" experience it was for him, according to US Weekly.

"The first time I saw it I took [Meadow]," he said. "It was cool to watch the reaction because I'm proud of the work that I did because I told the truth the whole time."

"Hours", which hits theater on Dec. 13, is about a "father struggles to keep an infant daughter alive in the wake of Hurricane Katrina," according to US Weekly.

In an interview with CNN, director Heisserer revealed they used actual baby photos of Meadow in the film to help Walker connect with the emotions of particular scenes.

"I'd asked him to bring baby pictures of Meadow. During some of the scenes where there was just a monologue by him to give to the baby in the incubator, we set the baby photos in the incubator so he could connect with his daughter that way," the director explained.

Walker and friend Roger Rodas died in a car accident on Nov. 30 in California. The two buddies were reportedly going for a joy ride before their Reach Out Worldwide charity event.

The actor's remains will reportedly be cremated and a private funeral will be held for his loved ones. No media will be allowed during the funeral, according to E! News.
