Disney has released another trailer for its upcoming 3-D live action film "Alice Through the Looking Glass," the sequel to Tim Burton's 2010 film "Alice in Wonderland." The new trailer premiered just a few hours before a live Facebook Q&A with "Alice" franchise star Johnny Depp and director James Bobin, and it gives fans a closer look into the beloved magical world of Wonderland and all of its inhabitants.

The new trailer also features an extended listen to pop star Pink's cover of Jefferson Airplane's 1967 hit "White Rabbit," which she recorded specifically for the film's soundtrack.

"Where am I?" Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska) asks in the trailer's opening scene, after she wakes up in a hospital ward. The first thing she sees is her mother, Helen Kingsleigh (Lindsay Duncan), peering over her.

"Let's see," a doctor says as Alice sits up in bed. "Excitable, fantasy-textbook case of female hysteria. We'll have her fixed in no time."

Alice makes a break for it, running up a winding hospital staircase. She makes a grand escape by sliding down the side of the building on a rope and hopping into a horse drawn carriage.

In another scene, Alice follows a blue butterfly to a mirror (looking glass) propped up above a mantle. As she re-enters the magical world of Wonderland through the mirror, the Blue Caterpillar (voiced by the late Alan Rickman) says, "You've been gone too long, Alice."

Once in Wonderland, Alice learns that her friend the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) has fallen ill, and the only way for her to save him is to face off with new villain Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), who is out to destroy Wonderland. With the help of her old friends the White Rabbit (voiced by Michael Sheen), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) and the Cheshire Cat (voiced by Stephen Fry), Alice sets off to take on Time and his new ally, the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).

Fans also get a first look at new character Humpty Dumpty, who, towards the end of the trailer, meets his doom when Alice accidentally backs into him, knocking him off of the edge of a table.

"Oh no, not again," the beloved nursery rhyme character moans as he takes another great fall off of the table and onto the floor, where he cracks into a bunch of tiny pieces.

"Sorry," Alice coos.

"Alice Through the Looking Glass" is produced by Tim Burton ("Nightmare Before Christmas") and directed by Bobin ("Muppets Most Wanted") and set for a May 27 release.
