Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were the hottest couple in Hollywood when they started dating in 2002 and broke Bennifer fans' hearts when they called off their wedding and broke up for good in 2004. As glamorous as their lives may have seemed, the couple came to a point where the press was just too much to handle, and it seems as though this had a lot to do with their split.

With Affleck and Jennifer Garner recently announcing their divorce after nearly 10 years of marriage, the spotlight has been on the 43-year-old "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star a lot again. While his and Lopez's relationship might have been much more short-lived than his marriage to Garner, it was still one of the most talked about relationships of all time, and even though their love was real, it took a toll on them.

"We didn't try to have a public relationship," Lopez said. "We just happened to be together at the birth of the tabloids, and it was like, 'Oh my God.' It was just a lot of pressure."

She then went on to explain that when she first met him, she thought that he was the one. "I felt like...'Okay, this is it,'" she added. "[But] sometimes I feel like what you think people are and how you see them when you love them is different than when they reveal later...I think different time different thing, who knows what could've happened, but there was a genuine love there."

In July, just weeks after Affleck and Garner announced their split, he and Lopez were back in the spotlight once again, as rumors started going around that they were trying to rekindle the flame. Affleck was technically still married, though, and since then, Lopez has gotten back together with her backup dancer Casper Smart, so it was all nothing but tabloid rumors.

While both Affleck and Lopez have been married and divorced to different people since they broke up for good, Affleck did admit in 2012 that they still kept in touch via email.

"We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice, but we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an email saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great,'" he said at the time. "I remember when she got 'American Idol.' I said: 'This was really smart. Good luck.' I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She's put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I'm really pleased to see her successful."
