The nominations of this year's Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Monday and CBS dominated the list with 77 nominations.

The network received 27 nominations for "The Young and the Restless" alone. ABC's "General Hospital" came in second place with 24 nominations, followed by CBS' "Bold and the Beautiful" with 23 nominations and NBC's "Days of Our Lives," which picked up 16 nods.

In the talk show category, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" came out on top with 10 nominations whereas "The Talk" and "The View" garnered six and three nominations respectively.

This year's awards ceremony will not be broadcast on television for the second time in three years due to its cost. The event will be streamed live on April 29.

"After last year's critically successful Daytime telecast, it is with great disappointment that The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announces that there will not be a broadcast of the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," said Bob Mauro, President of NATAS, said in a statement.

"After months of negotiations to find show sponsorship, the NATAS Executive Board has decided that the current climate for awards shows prohibits the possibility of a telecast this year. With that said, we will be putting on a world-class awards celebration honoring the best and brightest of Daytime television and look forward to an exciting show. All efforts regarding returning the annual gala to television in 2017 are underway," he added.
