"Batman vs. Superman" director Zack Snyder has confirmed one casting rumor by announcing Gal Gadot is set to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel. However, many questions remain unanswered about the film.

Here are four rumor stories that fans should be aware of about the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" series.  Filming is set to begin early 2014.

1.  Nightwing a.k.a ROBIN to make an appearance in the franchise?

"A source tells The Wrap that at least two other actors may be in the mix to play Grayson, the Caped Crusader's former sidekick, who's been estranged from Bruce Wayne for years in the movie, according to Latino Review," The Wrap reported.

Since Batman is being portrayed Ben Affleck, I'd expect to also see an older and wiser Robin, one who has had a major falling out with the Caped Crusader. There is an awesome potential here to create interesting tension in the film using a Batman/Robin tarnished dynamic.

2.  The New Batsuit Sans Nipples?

"There wasn't a single nipple on this [frick]ing suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like 'Holy Shit!' We haven't been down this path before. Even the Hardest core '[frick] this movie' person will be like 'alright, I'm ready'," Smith revealed during his Podcast.

We want to know what the suit will look like and if the no-nipple rumors Smith started are indeed factual. (Click here to read more about the suit)

3.  DOOMSDAY featured in upcoming film?

In the DC Comics, Doomsday is a stone-cold killing machine, whose feelings of hatred fuel his murder rampages. He is one of the most iconic villains in the "Superman" comics, and fans would definitely be interested in seeing him in the film.

One Twitter user, who has accurately predicted the appearance of Wonder Woman in the series, set off the rumor mills with the following tweet:

4.  New villains in "Man of Steel" sequel: who are they?

According to the insider sources of Batman-On-Film.com, there will be two villains appearing in "Batman vs. Superman." Callan Mulvey of "300: Rise of the Empire" is suspected to be one of the "unammed" villains, according to multiple reports.

However, IGN reported names like Darkseid and Brainiac have been floating around as well. This leaves us with the questions: who areSuperman and Batman fighting against? Could they be fighting each other in the film?
