Kim Fields announced she will not be returning to the next season of the hit Bravo reality TV series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." The former "Facts of Life" star confirmed the news during a recent radio interview promoting her new gig as a contestant on Season 22 of the ABC competition series "Dancing with the Stars."

Fields, 46, called in to the syndicated radio program "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show" and chatted with the hosts about the recent "RHOA" reunion special that aired Sunday night. The hosts expressed outrage that Kenya Moore continued to start drama with Fields by trying to compare her own lackluster credentials with Fields' lengthy résumé.

"You know, I don't think we can really always judge how people feel about their own successes," Fields said diplomatically. "Just, you know, enjoy what you got."

Fields joined the cast of "RHOA" for Season 8 and forged her own story line as a strong, career-minded woman who puts her family and faith before all. However, she stuck out like a sore thumb because she refused to drink or join in on the drama like many of her castmates.

When "RHOA" star Cynthia Bailey chose Fields to direct her designer eyewear commercial over fellow cast member Moore during Season 8, Moore attempted to drag Fields into the drama - and things almost got physical between them. When Moore attempted to pull a chair out from underneath Fields during a particularly heated argument, Fields just got up and walked away.

Fields was open about not fitting in with her fellow castmates during the series, which may be the reason why she decided to part ways with the show after just one season.

"It feels more like Brett Favre and the Jets, you know, I'm done," she said. "And think about it too, at the beginning of the season, what did my mama say? 'Get in and get out' - listen to your mama. So it was for the experience, it was to be able to do a genre that I've been asked to do before and finding a way to do it that made sense for my team and I and the family. Overall, it was a really great experience, more fire's coming for the reunion as you saw and, then on Mondays, we get to have fun on the dance floor."
