Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that he believes quarterback Tony Romo still has four to five good years of football left in him and that he won't use the fourth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to take a quarterback. While Dallas may not look to grab the future of their franchise in the first round, the Cowboys could look to acquire a talented quarterback that they believe can develop with time behind Romo.

The Cowboys front office has plenty of options when looking at this year's draft class, and it will likely depend how high of a draft pick Dallas will be willing to use on a quarterback. Multiple quarterback prospects in the year's class have the potential to be a starting quarterbacks in the NF, but will need time developing in the league, which could make a strong fit for at least one quarterback in Dallas.

The Cowboys are keeping all options open, as it's a little over a month until the 2016 NFL Draft, and they are reportedly taking a thorough look at Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott. Cowboys quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson is expected to put the Bulldogs quarterback through a private work on Monday in Starkville, Miss.

This is the third time that Wilson has met with Prescott, as he interviewed the Mississippi State quarterback at the Senior Bowl and met with him again at the 2016 NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

"Coach Wilson just (talked) about what they expect me to do if I come in there, if it's to be a backup role behind Tony Romo, how do I plan on approaching it and then just talking ball," Prescott said about the meeting at the combine. "They've been productive meetings. He told me their picks and told me that they're thinking about getting a quarterback with one of those picks. He was saying that if I work hard, thing maybe could work out."

The Cowboys know the importance of grooming a quarterback for the future as well as a strong backup in place, as they watched their season crumble in 2015 with their starting quarterback suffering a broken collarbone twice. The team currently has Kellen Moore as their backup quarterback heading into next season and will likely look to draft a quarterback that will compete with Moore for the backup position in 2016, with the potential to eventually become the starter.

Prescott could fill that role, but off field concerns could shy some teams away from the talented prospect. Prescott was arrested for a DUI last Saturday, but it was recently found that the breathalyzer tests were inconclusive. The Bulldogs quarterback has since taken responsibility and is looking to prove that those actions do not define his character.

"I take complete responsibility for my actions," Prescott said in a statement. "I'm very remorseful for my misjudgment. I want to apologize to my true supporters, my family, Mississippi State, the NFL, and the kids who look up to me. I won't ask for forgiveness; however I'll show the true man I am and exhibit my character through my actions and behavior moving forward."
