Thursday has come around once more, meaning that the Nintendo eShop is getting a variety of new titles and add-ons that fans can download on various Nintendo platforms.

As is noted by Nintendo, the offerings update weekly, making new games available on eShop for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS family of handhelds, the Nintendo DSi shop for the Nintendo DSi system and the Wii Shop Channel for the Wii console. As with everything else that the company does, the systems feature parental controls, allowing adults to manage the content their children can access.

Other deals include discounted titles for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS and a new Nintendo 3DS theme based on "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess."

The notable item on the list is the upcoming "Pokkén Tournament," which will be made available to general audiences on Friday. Born from the partnership between Bandai Namco, the creators of the "Soul" series and "Tekken," and Nintendo, "Pokkén Tournament" has players assume control of one of the Pokémon on the roster and do battle against the CPU or another player. Early reviews have been favorable, though there are some complaints about there being too many mechanics to swallow for those unfamiliar with fighting games.

The game is sure to make a splash in the Pokemon scene as well as the fighting game scene, with the game already confirmed to be at EVO 2016, the world's largest fighting game tournament.
