When a woman goes into labor, she's in for some of the toughest hours of her life. Contractions, dilation, and at the end, the baby's entrance into the world and exit from her body. Many say that even though it's absolutely worth it, there are no pains as intense as labor pains.

However, one woman is showing the world that women really can do it all. A New York-based makeup artist posted pictures of herself applying a flawless full face of makeup while in labor. The final result was amazing - a perfect winged eyeliner and smokey eye, a matte, even complexion and perfectly in-vogue matte lipstick.

Alaha Majid, the makeup mom-to-be, applied the makeup between contractions, and the photos are quite a sight to see. Next to her cup of ice chips is her massive eyeshadow palette, two cups of brushes, lashes and beautyblenders. She barely looks like she's in pain at all! She received her baby looking better than most people do on their wedding night.

She's received massive praise from fellow makeup lovers, with hundreds of comments that say that they hope to do the same while in labor. However, Majid has also received criticism from some (clearly jealous) individuals who say she put her looks over the health of her baby.

To respond to the criticism, she explained that she had started to get a headache from reading so she decided to move on to another pastime she loves. "Anyone who has been through labor knows that it's a waiting game. Of course I made sure my baby was well and healthy. I made sure my doctor was okay with it before proceeding with my makeup application. What I was doing didn't put my baby at risk and it didn't interfere with my labour one bit," Majid said.

Doing something she loves while giving birth was helpful and a great way to cope with the pain, she added. "I would actually advise other women to do the same! Don't make yourself miserable during labour, do something you love! As long as your doctor is OK with it, cake that foundation on and enjoy your day!" Majid said.

One adorable photo also shows Majid's husband stepping in to finish up her contouring when the contractions got too painful. That's a supportive husband right there.
