The New York Giants have spent more money than any other team this year in free agency. The influx of talent they have coming in could be compared to that of an entire draft class when you list the players they have brought in.

The Gmen have brought in defensive end Olivier Vernon from the Miami Dolphins, cornerback Janoris Jenkins formerly of the Los Angeles Rams, nose tackle Damon Harrison formerly of the New York Jets and inside linebacker Keenan Robinson formerly of the Washington Redskins.

Those are four players that the Giants need to make an impact right away. New York has also re-signed Jason Pierre-Paul, which means that defensive end may still be a need going into the future, but for this season the Giants could potentially be set.

Before free agency the Giants needed a running back, a safety, defensive ends, linebackers, offensive linemen and wide receivers. The defensive end need has been taken care of with the resigning of JPP and signing of Vernon, so selecting one during the first round is not a necessity anymore.

Selecting a quality nose tackle is off the table thanks to their mega deal with Harrison. Having to take a cornerback with their first overall pick does not need to happen as Jenkins should come in immediately to become a starter. This really only leaves running back, safety and wide receiver as the notable question marks.

With the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Giants can go in a million different directions. They could add another top-ranked offensive lineman such as Jack Conklin from Michigan State to fortify the offensive line. They could look to reach at running back and grab Ezekiel Elliott who is hands-down the best running back in the draft.

By the 10th pick Jalen Ramsey will probably be selected already, so safety will likely wait until the second round. As for wide receiver, the Giants lost Rueben Randle to free agency, and it does not appear that the Gmen want to re-sign him.

The Giants could select the best wide receiver in the draft, Laquon Treadwell out of Ole Miss. This move could be a game-changer for the Giants' offense. Any way you look, the Giants will need to be smart with whom they select in the draft.
