The highly anticipated movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" has started filming. Author E.L. James tweeted on Dec. 1 that production had started in Vancouver, Canada.

"Action!" she wrote on Twitter including a link to an Instagram picture of a movie slate.

Not much was revealed by the picture - it was the first roll, the 25th scene and the first take - but it's still very exciting news. Producer Dana Brunetti retweeted the picture with the caption "And we're off."

Kelly Marcel, screenwriter for the movie, also tweeted about the filming start date sending her well-wishes to "Team 50."

"Thinking of team 50 today - @E_L_James @DanaBrunetti @MichaelDe_Luca @jebbrody. Good luck guys."

Unfortunately, Jamie Dornan, who will play the lead character Christian Grey, didn't tease fans with any hints about the filming process on Twitter but photos of the kinky billionaire and his leading lady Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson surfaced online

Dornan is seen wearing a dark grey suit and a white shirt while Johnson wore a military jacket and a scarf. Even though it hasn't been confirmed what scenes the two were filming it looks like the coffee date scene in which Christian initially expresses his interest in the shy college student. In the book, the scene takes place after she awkwardly interviews him for the school newspaper. During their coffee date Christian questions Ana about her family and personal life.

According to E! News, a source said that some of the filming for that day took place at Rainer Provisions Café. Also starring in the movie is Victor Rasuk as Jose Rodriguez, Max Martini as Taylor the bodyguard, Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Ana's mom and Eloise Mumford as Kate Kavanagh.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is scheduled to hit theaters Feb. 13, 2015.
