Netflix just renewed the "Full House" reboot series "Fuller House" for a second season, but is the streaming site and Stephen Colbert teaming up for yet another new "Full House" spin-off? Wednesday night, Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier stopped by "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" to talk about "Fuller House" - and also debuted a new show they were working on with Colbert called "Full House Nights."

"It's a more updated, gritty reboot of 'Full House,'" Saget told Colbert.

"It's called 'Full House Nights' and we play adult roommate detectives who have seen a little bit too much," Coulier said.

According to Stamos, the premise of the show is that after the Tanner children go to bed, the "Full House" dads go out to the "mean streets of San Francisco and solve crimes."

The opening title sequence featured a grim, "True Detective"-like take on the classic "Full House" theme song, which included the original lyrics to the song. It was even upfront about the fact that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would not be in this spin-off either.

"Full House Nights" started off with Colbert, who played a drug dealer named Dimitri, sitting in a questioning room in a police station. Danny (Saget) and Uncle Jesse (Stamos) did the classic good cop/bad cop routine on Dimitri to try and figure out where he was hiding drugs. When they couldn't get Dimitri to crack, they brought in a third cop, Joey (Coulier), who finally got Dimitri to talk using impressions of different cartoon characters like Scooby-Doo.

"We know you're using the girls as your drug mules," Coulier said in his Bullwinkle voice. "One of them OD'd in the airport."

The first - and only - episode of "Full House Nights" concluded with a classic "Full House" life lesson.

"Everybody has pain," Saget said. "And everybody wants to bury that pain under piles and piles of blow. But it's no excuse to break the law. I think you've learned an important lesson here today, Dimitri."

The first season of "Fuller House" debuted on Netflix Feb. 26 and was picked up for a second season March. 2. The updated version stars Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber with Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin all back in recurring roles.
