Dory has a serious short-term memory problem in "Finding Nemo," but her long-term memory kicks into high gear in "Finding Dory" when she starts to remember her long-lost parents. The beautiful blue angel fish will just keep swimming to bring her family back together.

Ellen DeGeneres, who voices Dory, premiered the first full-length trailer for the new Disney-Pixar movie on Wednesday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The daytime talk show host lobbied for years on her show for a sequel to the 2003 animated feature in which the clown fish Marlin (Albert Brooks) goes looking for his missing son Nemo and picks up the forgetful angel fish Dory along the way.

The latest "Finding Dory" trailer reveals the impetus for Dory's journey - to find her parents - and swimming deeper in the sea with her trusted companion Marlin and Nemo. During their travels, they run into old friend Crush ("Finding Nemo" director Andrew Stanton), the laid back sea turtle, and Dory's childhood friend Destiny (Kaitlin Olsen), a whale shark who loved to tell her stories again and again to Dory because she always forgot them.

"Modern Family" star Ty Burrell will also lend his voice to a rehabilitating beluga whale, who has sonar capability problems. Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy will voice Dory's parents, Jenny and Charlie. Other big name stars voicing new characters include Idris Elba, Michael Sheen, Dominic West and Burrell's TV co-star Ed O'Neill.

"Finding Dory" will premiere on June 17. Watch the trailer below.

The newest Pixar movie isn't the only animated featured coming from Walt Disney Studios this year.

Disney Animation will release "Zootopia," featuring the voices of Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin, this Friday, March 4. The next Disney princess Moana will make her debut in November when she sets sail with the demi-god Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) in "Moana."

Walt Disney Studios also has the live-action version of "The Jungle Book" (April 15), directed by Jon Favreau and featuring an all-star cast, and "Pete's Dragon" (Aug. 12), starring Robert Redford and Bryce Dallas Howard, coming down the pike. Not to mention the next superhero installments from Marvel Studios - "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6 and Benedict Cumberbatch's debut as "Doctor Strange" on Nov. 4.

Look forward to a live-action "Beauty and the Beast," Pixar's "Cars 3" and the new animated feature, "Coco," in 2017.
