Jodie Sweeting will be stepping into her dancing shoes for the next season of "Dancing With the Stars." The "Fuller House" star announced the exciting news Wednesday morning on "Good Morning America," along with the reveal of who her partner would be: professional dancer Keo Motsepe.

Before Sweeting made the official announcement, it was long rumored that she would join season 22 of "Dancing With the Stars." The actress revealed last month that she was excited at the prospect of the show and said it would "really fun."

Sweetin, 34, first gained fame as the middle sister, Stephanie Tanner, on "Fuller House." The character that Sweetin played on the show was a dancer, something the actress said prepared her for the dancing competition show. "I've always loved to dance and Stephanie was a dancer on the show and I danced growing up," Sweetin said. "I have some experience, I have some rhythm."

Fans of "Full House" who have already turned in to the new Netflix revival series "Fuller House" may have noticed a little "Dancing With the Stars" action during one of the earlier episodes of the show where Stephanie and her sister DJ, played by Candace Cameron Bure, go to a nightclub and see pros Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy. During a later episode of "Fuller House," Sweetin also lead a Bollywood-inspired dance number.

During her interview with "Good Morning America," Sweetin told the hosts that she had turned down the show in the past, but it was Val's presence on the "Fuller House" set that made her commit to finally doing the show. She also said that her and her partner Motsepe have already started rehearsals for the show.

Sweetin is not the first "Full House" actor to be on "Dancing With the Stars." Cameron Bure was on the dancing show during season 18 and came in third place with her pro partner Mark Ballas, but she still gave Sweeting some tips. "She's been really great," Sweetin said. "She's excited for me and has shared with me that this is going to be one of the most exciting, overwhelming physically and mentally demanding things that I ever do, but it's incredibly worth it.

"I am so ready, I am more than ready," Cameron Bure said about Sweetin's new show and offed some advice. "I am just there. I will try not to take over for her because I might nudge myself back onto that dance floor."

The rest of "Dancing With the Stars" cast will be revealed on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, March 8.
