Being a celebrity doesn't exempt you from getting the holidays off, as is the case for singer and "X-Factor" judge Demi Lovato, who recently cursed Simon Cowell for making her work on Thanksgiving.

During her latest appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live", the 21-year-old star joked, "You know what I think? I think Simon Cowell, because he's British, he like wants all of us to suffer working on one of the greatest holidays of the year. He's like, 'Ha ha. It's not a holiday for me!'"

However, despite having to work Turkey Day, Lovato will be doing something very special that night on "The X-Factor."

"I'm really excited. I'm performing," Lovato told Kimmel, giving what might be a downer to some a positive spin. "I think it's two things to be thankful for!"

Lovato will be singing her new single, "Neon Lights," an uptempo dance track she co-wrote with OneRepublic's hit-maker and frontman, Ryan Tedder, the sexy music video for which premiered Nov. 22.

"If I screw up or do a bad job people at home are going to be like, 'Why is she a judge?,'" Lovato said of her upcoming performance. "I have to do really good and I'm just really hoping I do a good job."

Competition has been tough this year on "The X-Factor," and Lovato is determined to help her remaining contestants Rion Page and Ellona Santiago stay on top of their game. Last week, her contestant Khaya Cohen, a 16-year-old singer from New York with a big voice, was eliminated despite rave reviews from the judges over the past month. How will her other acts fare this week?

Demi Lovato will perform on the Nov. 28 episode of "The X-Factor," which airs live on FOX at 8 p.m.
