Some Xbox One users experienced hardware issues with their console, and Microsoft is compensating gamers for their technical difficulties.

According to IGN, the tech company will be giving away free first-party games to those who reported their hardware problems.

"While a replacement console is on its way, we want to ensure our advance exchange customers can stay in the game. We will provide each of them with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft Studios," Microsoft said in a statement to IGN.

The digital copies of the game titles affected users will be able to download for free are "Forza Motorsport 5,"" Dead Rising 3," "Ryse: Son of Rome," or "Zoo Tycoon". Gamers will only be able to download one of the above titles for free. Microsoft is working to replace their faulty consoles.

"New Xbox One owners have reported numerous issues to the Xbox support message board, including concerning issues with disc drives, unusual sounds coming from the machine, more spontaneous system shutdowns, missing pixels, and blank or frozen screens. Others can't get their systems to start in the first place," according to IGN.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with your new Xbox One console, you can call 1-800-4-MYXBOX for support.

Xbox One users are not the only ones who experienced issues with their next-gen console on its launch date. Sony's PlayStation 4 users also reported issues of their own, including a blue-blinking light of a console that would not turn on. The blue light could mean any of the following, but is not limited to:

1. TV compatibility
2. Issues with PS4 power supply
3. Issues with PS4 hard drive
4. Issues with other PS4 hardware

Since learning about the PS4's blue light problem, Sony has published a guide for users to correct their issue (click here to read it).
