South Africa won the first T20I, played at Cape Town on Friday, by three wickets. Batting first, England managed to post a modest total of 134 for eight in 20 over, according to The Guardian.

Imran Tahir's four-wicket haul demolished the English batting lineup. South Africa, in reply, chased down the target on the last ball as Chris Morris struck a match-winning 17-run knock in just seven balls.

"We didn't start well. Twenty20 cricket is all about executing plans and we let them get away at the start. Our bowlers came back by getting wickets," South African skipper Faf du Plessis said after winning the match, according to BBC Sports.

"We tried to learn from their mistakes - maybe they went a bit hard at the ball - and we tried to play deeper. We messed it up a little but Chris Morris, the million-dollar man, saved us," he added.

South Africa is hosting England for four Tests, five ODIs and two T20Is. The visitors have won the Test series by 2-1. Proteas, on the other hand, claimed the ODI series by 3-2.  Both sides are now looking to utilize the T20 series as a preparation for the Twenty20 World Cup, which will be played in India in March and April.
