Australia has registered innings and 52-run victory over hosts in Wellington Test on Monday. The Steve Smith side is now aiming to seal the series.

In a setback for the Aussie squad ahead of the second Test, pacer Peter Siddle has been ruled out of the second Test due to an injury.

"Peter experienced some discomfort in his back during the first Test in Wellington and has not recovered sufficiently enough to play the Test," the Aussie team's physiotherapist David Beakley said, according to Sky Sports.

New Zealand also suffered a setback ahead of the must-win second Test as pacer Doug Bracewell also has been ruled out due to injury, according to Reuters. The Black Caps need to win the Christchurch Test to level the series.
