Former Wisconsin and NFL running back Montee Ball was arrested on a felony battery charge after a dispute with his girlfriend on Feb. 5, and more details surrounding the case have been revealed, according to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News.

The former Denver Broncos running back grew angry with his girlfriend and threw her through a table during an argument in a hotel room at the Hampton Inn and Suites, according to the police report. Ball's girlfriend said that he was "intoxicated" and "upset" when he arrived at the hotel. His girlfriend reportedly had a bump on the back of her head and needed bandaging on her right leg.

Ball said that he was not aware that she had been injured until he saw her with medics, adding that he had just pushed her away, according to the police report. The Patriots have since waived Ball from their practice squad, and the former second round pick will likely struggle to sign with another team if the allegations are proven true.

Elsewhere, Indianapolis Colts linebacker Jonathan Newsome was arrested on two counts of marijuana possession, according to Fox 59. The second-year NFL linebacker was arrested after police arrived at his apartment after receiving a complaint about loud music. Officers found marijuana on the premises during the investigation and transported Newsome to Boone County Jail.

The Colts linebacker recorded 19 combined tackles and a sack while forcing two fumbles in 14 games for Indianapolis this past season.
