"Deadpool" won't be the last superhero movie to come with an R-rating. The studio behind the Merc with a Mouth is aiming for an R-rating on the third and final installment of the "Wolverine" trilogy.

A photo taken at Toy Fair 2016 and posted by an imgur user revealed 20th Century Fox is anticipating an R-rating for Hugh Jackman's final "Wolverine film, obtained by Comicbook.com. The photo was from a pamphlet or catalog given to guests at the studio's Toy Fair presentation.

Fox has not released an official synopsis for "Wolverine 3," but Jackman teased at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 that the story could draw its inspiration from the Marvel comic book, "Wolverine: Old Man Logan," written by Mark Millar.

"Deadpool," starring Ryan Reynolds, made history over the Valentine's Day/Presidents Day weekend bringing in $152.2 million (Fri.-Mon.; 132.2 million Fri.-Sun.). The "X-Men" spinoff earned the biggest opening weekend for an R-rated movie surpassing "The Matrix Reloaded," which grossed $91 million (Fri.-Sun.) in 2003.

Reynolds first played his "Deadpool" character Wade Wilson in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." He will reprise the role again in a "Deadpool" sequel already greenlit by 20th Century Fox, Reynolds revealed during a podcast with Empire Magazine.

Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also return to work on the new script. Director Tim Miller has not been confirmed for the sequel but Fox hopes to keep the original team together, according to Comic Book Resources.

"Wolverine 3" is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017.
