Adele's much-awaited performance of "All I Ask" from her hit album, "25," at the Grammys on Monday night was marred by sound issues.

Introduced by Bruno Mars, with whom she co-wrote the song, the 27-year-old singer came on stage to perform the emotional ballad, but a few seconds into the song, something just didn't seem right with the audio and the sound kept cutting off, causing Adele to sound different, according to Billboard.

However, the "Hello" singer took to Twitter to explain what exactly went down during her performance.

"The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was," she tweeted. "It made the sound out of tune. S--t happens."

But the songstress seems to be making the most of the audio malfunction. "Because of it though...I'm treating myself to an In N Out. So maybe it was worth it," Adele added.

Recording Academy President Neil Portnow confirmed that there was a "technical glitch" during Adele's performance after a microphone fell onto the piano while it was being lifted, causing the "clanking" sound.

He added that things got worse when the audio technicians tried to correct the malfunction by switching it to a back-up system, causing a momentary loss of feed.

However, Portnow praised Adele for handling the audio snafus like the professional that she is. "To Adele's credit, she killed it, she did a fantastic job, the pro that she is," he said, according to Variety.
