Caitlyn Jenner filed a lawsuit against Jessica Steindorff, the driver of a Prius who was involved in Jenner's fatal car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway last February, TMZ reported. Jenner claimed that Steindorff should hold partial blame for the accident of the multi-vehicle accident that left one driver dead.

Jenner was driving an SUV on the PCH in February 2015 when she crashed into the back of a Lexus driven by Kim Howe. Howe then hit the back of Steindorff's Prius before Howe lost control, according to video footage of the crash obtained by TMZ. Howe's Lexus shot off into oncoming traffic, where she collided head-on with a Hummer and died in the crash.

Howe's stepchildren brought a wrongful death suit against Jenner, but settled with Jenner for a "very modest amount," according to the Daily Mail, because they had no legal standing in the case. Jenner was cleared of criminal charges related to Howe's death last September.

Steindorff's and Jenner's insurance companies settled for an undisclosed sum for damage to Steindorff's car and her injuries, Gossip Cop reported. But Jenner now claimed in court documents that Steindorff waited too long at a green light, causing the multi-vehicle crash. The driver and passengers of the Hummer sued Jenner for negligence in the crash and if Steindorff is found liable for the accident, she could be forced to pay part of the settlement in Jenner's negligence case.

Steindorff's attorney Robert Simon released a statement regarding Jenner's lawsuit against his client and told TMZ, "It's unfortunate that she continues to not take responsibility for a crash she clearly caused."
