One of the most infamous serial killers of all time may soon be getting married, if only from behind bars at California's Corcoran State Prison.

Rolling Stone magazine reports that 79-year-old Charles Manson has found love in Star, a 25-year-old woman who runs several websites defending him and his pro-environmental causes and has been visiting him in prison since the age of 19. She visits Manson, whom she refers to as "Charlie," each Saturday and Sunday for up to five hours a day, having moved to Corcoran in 2007 to be closer to him, and plans to take his hand in marriage.

"Yeah, well, people can think I'm crazy," Star told Rolling Stone in an in-depth new interview, featured in the latest issue that hits stands this Friday. "But they don't know. This is what's right for me. This is what I was born for."

Star, who grew up near St. Louis and comes from a deeply religious family, began corresponding with Manson from behind bars while she was in her own form of prison, her parents having locked her in her room for most of her high school years for "smoking marijuana, eating mushrooms [and] not [wanting] to go to church every Sunday," as she told the magazine. Her friend had passed on some of Manson's environmental writings to her, which sparked a mutual correspondence.

At the age of 19, Star took the $2,000 she had been saving while working in a retirement home kitchen and took a train to Corcoran, where she met with Manson who gave her the name "Star." She recently carved an X into her forehead.

And while she closely resembles the late Manson "Family" member Susan Atkins, or "Sexy Sadie," known for her role in the Tate-LaBianca killings, Star insisted to Rolling Stone that she is nothing like the woman who died in 2009.

"That b***h was f***ing crazy," she told the magazine. "She was a crazy f***ing w***e. 'Oh Charlie, I did this for you.' She didn't know what she was doing."

In order to prove her devotion to Manson, Star has plans to marry him, despite the fact that they aren't allowed any conjugal visits, which she blames for why they haven't yet tied the knot.

"I'll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married," Star said. "When that will be, we don't know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven't told anybody about that."

As for Manson, however, he denied the claims that he and Star were planning their nuptials.

"Oh that," he said. "That's a bunch of garbage. You know that, man. That's trash. We're just playing that for public consumption."
