Will Smith admits that raising kids is no easy task. The actor stopped by BBC Radio 1Xtra on Tuesday and joked around with host A.Dot about how he and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith raised their two children together, Jaden and Willow Smith.

"Your kids seem to have a lot of freedom of expression," A.Dot told Smith. "Is that something that you consciously encourage them to have?"

"Yeah, I think it may have been a mistake," Will said with a laugh. "I think we may have gone too far."

The host then asked the "Concussion" actor how he handled the news of Jaden modeling female clothes.

"There's a really powerful internal quality as an artist that as parents we encourage," Smith responded. "You gotta get out on the edge, you have to try things, you have to be comfortable doing things that people don't agree with, and you have to be comfortable doing things that you could fail.

"Jaden is 100 percent fearless, he will do anything," Smith added. "So as a parent it's scary, it's really terrifying - but he is completely willing to live and die by his own artistic decisions, and he just doesn't concern himself with what people think."

Jaden was recently named the new face of Louis Vuitton's womenswear and opened up to GQ about how he doesn't think he's "as revolutionary as Galileo," but added, "I don't think I'm not as revolutionary as Galileo."

"I feel like it's an honor, actually, for people to think I'm crazy," Smith said in October, explaining, "They thought Galileo was crazy, too, you know what I'm saying?"
