Square Enix's "Final Fantasy IX" has just been launched for Android and iOS devices. This will particularly delight Android users since the previous "Final Fantasy VII" game was only made available to iOS users, Android Community noted.

What is particularly interesting about the new "Final Fantasy" game is that it has incredible graphics. Unlike previous iterations ported for smart devices, it almost resembles the original made for the gaming console in terms of quality, which is highlighted by its system requirements. While the file size is almost 2 GB, it requires at least 4GB of memory and 8GB of free space in order to play the game, according to its description at Google Play. Mid-range mobile devices will more likely experience drops in frame rates, especially during fight sequences, as HNGN previously reported.

Square Enix also introduced several features exclusive to the mobile game. These include high-speed and no-encounter modes, as well as autosaving and achievements, Polygon reported. There are those who have already identified tricks and cheats that can help players breeze through the gameplay, and some are revealed in the following video.

Square Enix is selling "Final Fantasy IX" for $17. This is the introductory price with a 20 percent discount, and it will be offered until Feb. 21.
