Bella Heathcote has joined the cast of "Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel in the series based on E.L. James' erotic bestselling erotic novels, according to Deadline.

The "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" star will play the role of Christian Grey's former lover Leila in the film, which will see the return of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Mr. Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini are also returning to the cast, and they will be joining Kim Basinger, who plays Grey's business partner and ex-lover Elena Lincoln in the sequel, as HNGN previously reported.

Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will serve as producers on the project along with James and Marcus Viscidi. Niall Leonard and James are in charge of the film's screenplay.

"Fifty Shades Darker" and the third installment in the series, "Fifty Shades Freed," will be shot back-to-back, and James Foley will helm both projects. The film is expected to begin production this month.

Heathcote, whose "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" opened in theatres on Friday, has also been featured in Nicolas Winding Refn's upcoming film "The Neon Demon" alongside Keanu Reeves and Elle Fanning, according to Variety.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
