Coulson has watched S.H.I.E.L.D. taken down from the inside by Hydra sleeper agents and he's had enough, especially after the events in the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." midseason finale. When the Marvel series returns in March, the S.H.I.E.L.D. director will direct all his efforts at bringing down the entire nefarious organization.

In the midseason return episode "Bouncing Back," Coulson (Clark Gregg) is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick (Powers Boothe) and put an end to Hydra once and for all, according to the Entertainment Weekly. The S.H.I.E.L.D. team just missed capturing Malick at the castle guarding the portal to Maveth.

The de facto Hydra leader escaped the compound and then found Ward (Brett Dalton), or whatever has taken over his body, standing in the middle of the road in the closing moments of the midseason finale.

Also when "S.H.I.E.L.D." returns, Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and the team will "encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they've never seen before." What they don't know if these new Inhumans will be friends or enemies of the agency.

So far, Daisy has recruited Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and Joey Gutierrez, who went through his Inhuman transition in the season three premiere. Agent May's (Ming-Na Wen) ex-husband and S.H.I.E.L.D. psychiatrist Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood) also transitioned into a beast known as Lash and is determined to wipe out other Inhumans while desperately trying to hold onto his humanity.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will resume its third season on Tuesday, March 8 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
