New Orleans Saints defensive back Brandon Browner still has two years left on his three-year, $15 million contract with the team, but may not be playing out the rest of that contract, as it looks like he is out the door in New Orleans, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

The Saints defensive back used his social media account to post a message indicating the end of his time in New Orleans. "I truly did love the city, really wanted to do well for the 504. Some of the best people, best hospitality, and food. And a city that will show you a good time."

Browner would also add, "first class organization top down coaching staff, equipment, training staff to the cooks in the kitchen. Can't forget the strength and conditioning team. Greatly appreciated." Browner clearly knows his time in New Orleans is over, and is ready to move onto the next chapter writing you "got to take the good with the bad sometimes treat the wins like losses. Next chapter every good book has up and downs #farewellneworleans."

The full message from his post can be found below.

Browner struggled to make a major impact in his first season in New Orleans, as the Saints pass defense finished the regular season ranked second to last in the NFL in terms of passing yards allowed per game. Browner recorded 76 combined tackles, an interception, and recovered one fumble during the 2015 season. The physical defensive back will likely still garner interest around the league, but will probably have to take a pay cut wherever he winds up next season.

The Saints have plenty of offseason player personnel decisions that still need to be made, and talks of a contract extension with franchise quarterback Drew Brees have yet to begin. New Orleans finished in third place in the NFC South at 7-9 this past season, and are clearly looking to rebuild their defense after struggling this year.
