Deepika Padukone has left for Toronto, Canada to start filming "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" - her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel. The actress announced last month that she will play the female lead opposite Diesel in the "XXX" series' third installment, as HNGN previously reported.
Padukone's "Bajirao Mastani" co-star and rumored boyfriend, Ranveer Singh, revealed the actress' travel plans on Tuesday. "Deepika we are really proud of you. Since you are leaving tonight to go and shoot your action Hollywood blockbuster, we all wish you all the best. May you conquer this new frontier and make us proud as you always had," said Singh, according to The Indian Express.
Before leaving for her shoot, videos of the "Piku" actress' intense training regime for the upcoming Hollywood film emerged on social media. Watch HERE.
It is not yet clear where exactly the movie will be shot, but a source said that filming is expected to begin "in a day or two." The film, which also stars Nina Dobrev, Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Jet Li and Tony Jaa, is slated to hit theaters in 2017.
