AMC has already announced that they are creating a "Walking Dead" spin-off. The new series is set for a 2015 air date but nothing has been set in stone yet. According to TV Line, there have been rumors that the spin-off would focus on a "new, previously unseen corner of the zombie apocalypse - maybe one where the living outnumber the dead."

There were also rumors that AMC was going to make the new show a prequel that would tell the story leading up the outbreak and the efforts to contain it. In an interview with IGN, comic book creator/executive producer Robert Kirman said that the spin-off would include an entirely new cast and would be set in a "different location."

"It definitely won't be set in Georgia... It's important to us that this show exists on its own," Kirkman said. "The spin-off has to be a show worthy of existing, or else we've all sold out."

So that means fans won't be seeing Carol, Rick, Carl, Glenn or any other members from the original cast.

In an October interview Kirkman  explained to The Hollywood Reporter that he had explored different locations in the comics but he was excited about the project.

"I've never really shown another part of the world in the comic books. There have been mentions in the show like, 'They're doing this from France,' but they've never shown it," he said. "So the idea of seeing another part of 'The Walking Dead' universe and exploring that is very exciting to me. It's going to be remarkable just how different things can be just by going to a different location."

The magazine also asked some of "The Walking Dead" cast what they would like to see in a spin-off. Check out their answers below:

Scott Gimple (showrunner) - He said he's not sure if he will be a part of the new series but thought the storyline of Clementine "was a super cool story."

"I'd start with Lee and Clementine, then I'd look for a cool place to set it," he said. "We'd do it on an island in the South Pacific."

Danai Gurira (Michonne) - She said she would like to see a series about the government and how they responded to the outbreak and how they ultimately crumbled.

"The amount of security systems this country has to see that start: What was it? How did they find out and see them as they know it got out of hand," she said. "I'd love to go right into that situation room."

Chad Coleman (Tyreese) - He said he would like to see how other people are surviving the zombie apocalypse.

"I'd find a way to weave in what the apocalypse looks like around the world. Is there any way for us to have any communication to find out what's going on in Egypt?" he said. "Or is there any way to see what's happening in the outside world? I'd love to see more about what the military's involvement really is because people often ask me how it happened and that's too big of a question for me."
