With exactly one month to go before the Oscars, the award show announced the first group round of people slated to present at the 2016 ceremony. Amid a cloud of scandal surrounding the Academy Awards due to the lack of diversity of the actors nominated for awards, the biggest award show in Hollywood announced a group of diverse presenters and performers including Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Hart and Benicio Del Toro.

Goldberg, Hart and Del Toro join Tina Fey, Ryan Gosling, Charlize Theron and Jacob Tremblay as people who will take part in the show. The Weeknd, Lady Gaga and Sam Smith are all set to take the stage during the ceremony and will perform their tracks nominated for Best Original Song - "Till It Happens to You," "Writing's on the Wall" and "Earned It," according to The Wrap.

"Each of these artists brings a wonderfully distinctive element to the Oscars stage," the show's producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in the announcement, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Together they represent the many thrilling ways stories can be shared about the human experience, and we're honored they will be part of the celebration."

Chris Rock is hosting the 88th Academy Awards. The ceremony will be broadcasted live on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. EST on ABC.
