It's a surprise to see Leicester City in first place in the Premier League table in late January. However, manager Claudio Ranieri is looking to add a striker to make a serious push for the Premier League title, according to the Mirror.

"Everyone is reinforcing or buying players because they want to save their season or they want to win something." Ranieri said to the Mirror. "I'd like another striker to give support to the other three, because our strength is playing at high intensity and it's not possible to play at high intensity for all the season, for this reason."

CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa is the latest striker rumored to join the Foxes in their Premier League title bid, according to the Score.

Ranieri hopes adding Musa could ease the pressure on striker Jamie Vardy and help the club finish the season strong. "This is a strange league. The big teams are not at the top. There is Leicester. What happened? I don't know! But want to stay there," Ranieri said.

The Russian club rejected a bid from Leicester for $21 million (USD), earlier this month, according to the Mirror. CSKA Moscow valued the Nigerian in the range of $27 million and with the transfer window drawing to a close Leicester City are expected to up their bid for Musa, according to the BBC.

The 23-year-old Musa is a forward with scoring abilities. The Nigerian captain has 11 goals in 56 appearances with his country and 10 goals in 29 appearances for his club this season. Musa joined CSKA Moscow from Dutch side VVV-Venlo in 2012 for $5.4 million.

After a promotion from League One Leicester City finished in 14th place last year, but midfielder Danny Drinkwater said his club is capable at finishing at the top of the table, according to the Mirror.

"After having a difficult first season in the Premier League we have turned the table around. We are top of the league and it is a huge achievement for this club. The points are proof we deserve to be there. If anyone doubts us still it is up to them - as long as we keep proving them wrong." Drinkwater said.
