Kim Kardashian is working hard to drop the baby weight ever since she gave birth to her son Saint West on Dec. 5. The mom of two announced on Twitter earlier this week that she was going back on the Atkins diet to shed the remaining pounds.

"I'm so excited! I'm 30 lbs down today but 40 to go! I'm so focused. I will show u guys my workouts on my app & share my Atkins plan too!" she tweeted. She then wrote, "I gained 60lbs during my pregnancy but have been an extra 10 lbs up for the last few years so it's time to really get to my goal." 

"Teaming up w/ @AtkinsInsider because it works for me! So much variety on #Atkins40 and Harvest Trail Bars = YUM," she added.

The 35-year-old reality star's personal Atkins nutritionist, Collette Heimowitz, also opened up about Kardashian's personal diet plan that has her set to lose two pounds a week.

"We can pace the weight loss at 2 lbs. a week, so that it won't affect her breast milk," Heimowitz explained to Extra. "And she gets adequate protein from chicken, fish and some meat."

The Atkins 40 program allows Kardashian more carbohydrates to restore her energy while she breastfeeds Saint. With this diet, which is mostly protein and vegetables, Kardashian can also nosh on low glycemic fruits like berries and can eat healthy fats like Greek yogurt, small portions of cheese, nuts and olive oil.

"On Atkins you can take in more calories than you would on a typical low calorie diet and lose actually more weight," Heimowitz added. She also explained that Kardashian has been hitting the gym hard and working with a trainer, which will help her lose inches quickly, although it could still take a couple of months to reach her ultimate goal weight.

"She's smart and she's motivated," Heimowitz added. "And she's committed."

Her sister Kourtney recently shared a photo of the two, and although Kim is somewhat hiding behind her sister, you can tell that she's significantly slimmed down since giving birth. She has rarely been in updated photos and has been sharing mostly throwback photos ever since she and her husband Kanye West welcomed Saint last month, so it was nice to see her back on social media.

"Kim is staying on track with her weight loss progress and taking it day by day," a source told E! News earlier this month. "She is very busy with Saint and North [West] in between of taking care of herself and being a wife. Running around with the kids definitely helps with shedding some weight, and she has been working out and eating healthy."
