Donald Almanza travelled to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands in search of the sun, sand, and surf for the holidays. While there, he stopped by a parrot sanctuary where a pair of caique parrots were showing off their basketball skills. He posted the amazing video to his Facebook page, and it's been shared over 60,000 times and watched over 1.3 million times because, well, see for yourself! The parrots' skills are amazing and so fun to watch, and the keeper's basketball commentary only adds to the experience.

Almanza titled the video "Best NBA Game Ever". It was picked up and shared by the YouTube channel Lovers Parrots, among others.

Neither parrot broke under the pressure of their human coach's encouragement, and neither one cheated by flying, said ITV. The birds show amazing dexterity and skill as they pick up the ball with their beak and repeatedly dunk it into the baskets. The one mistake the parrots made was travelling (carrying the ball across the court without repeatedly bouncing it), said Little Things, but we'll let it slide. Points for being cute.

Perhaps parrot-basketball should become a real sport, like NineMsnPickle said on their Instagram where the video was reposted. We're all for it!
