The Boston Celtics have won three games in a row and six of their last eight to get back on track and bring their record up to 25-21. A big part of the Celtics recent success has been the play of shooting guard Avery Bradley who is having a very good season. Bradley has bounced back nicely after a down season a year ago but he is not happy with how much money he is earning while playing so well, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

Bradley signed a four year extension with the Celtics in July of 2014 worth $32 million which, at the time, seemed like an above market deal. Now though, looking back on it, Bradley regrets signing the deal after he has seen what other players of similar caliber have gotten, according to Jack Windham of the Inquisitr.

The issue for Bradley may not be the dollar amount but instead the fact that he does not have the ability to get out of the contract early via opt-outs. Since Bradley signed that extension Khris Middleton (five years $70 million) Gordon Hayward (four years $61 million) and Tristan Thompson (five year $82 million) have all signed huge extensions with their teams worth almost double what Bradley will get.

Because of his unhappiness with his deal Bradley has fired his former agent Mitchell Butler of Rival Sports Group and will now be represented by Rob Pelinka who happens to also be Kobe Bryant's agent. Bradley is currently in the second year of the four year extension and is making about $7.7 million this year. The next two years of the contract will pay Bradley $8.3 million and $8.8 million respectively but with the cap going up in the next two seasons it is hard to blame him for thinking he got a raw deal.

Bradley will become an unrestricted free agent in 2018 at the age of 27 so he will likely be able to cash in on a lucrative deal at that point as long as he stays healthy and continues to play as well as he has so far this season. Through 41 games Bradley is averaging 14.8 points and 1.6 steals per game while making 37 percent of his threes and although he isn't happy about his contract now, he will hit free agency during his prime years and be able to get the contract he feels he deserves then.
