Eminem's former sister-in-law Dawn Scott was found dead Tuesday in a Detroit trailer park following an apparent heroin overdose, according to Page Six.

Scott, 41, was the twin sister of Eminem's ex-wife, Kim, who the rapper was married to between 1991 and 2001 and again in 2006 before the couple parted ways for good.

Scott was not only Eminem a.k.a. Marshall Mathers' sister-in-law but was also the biological mother of 22-year-old Alaina, whom the rapper adopted and raised.

"She was found slumped over in bed and unresponsive," Mayor James Fouts of Warren, Mich. said, according to People. "It's suspected to be drug use, possibly heroin."

The Macomb County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the death, but the cause of death will be determined once the toxicology reports are out.

Kim shared a touching message on the tribute wall of the funeral home. "Dawn was my sweet, beautiful sister who lost her way. I kept a light lit for her hoping she'd find her way back to me. I miss her and love her more than anything I could ever say. I wish she was here so I could hug her and tell her I love her," Kim wrote.

"Half of me is gone and I will never feel whole again. She made me laugh and kept me on my toes. She was the best sister and friend in the world and I will miss her until we are together again," she added.
